RE: {Chrysler 300} 300 G at Mecum

I saw the car at the auction and posted my observations, not sure you saw that. The car seems put together for the general public and not letter car aficionados and collectors. The work appears straight and well done but with the details missed in many areas as you observed; especially the interior.

 

My rule of thumb is that obvious errors or shortcomings that are relatively easy to avoid portend of far more egregious liberties taken where they cannot be seen. 

 

 I don't mean to disparage this lovely G, its generic leather seating surfaces and carpets, improper ride height and glazed ham paint over and underneath notwithstanding. 

 

The H had even more problems but I could not get inside or under the hood.

Just found the video and reviewed it. Hood latch should be body color, no basketweave in the seats, Inside of top should be tan not black.  If anyone has the tag info that states differently, speak up.

Also, can someone comment on the placement of the air filters?  The 'dent' on both are facing each other.  Is this the correct placement?

Those weren’t New Yorker convertibles, they were Imperials and they went a little light. They were penalized likely due to being for sale multiple times before as a lot of 5, which is a dumb way to try and sell them.
