Re: {Chrysler 300} Dashboard paint question

I have nothing to contribute regarding the correct paint code for your car but will offer some advice if you are looking to ‘restore’ the dash to its original look. My experience in matching dash paint is with ‘65 and up mopars, all of which do not have an entirely gloss finish. On my ‘65 300 I had to custom mix my paints and add flattening agent to get the right lustre, even on black.

I doubt you’ll be happy with a rattle can finish. Do yourself a favour and buy or borrow an inexpensive touch-up spray gun and use that instead. Better results and less headaches trying to convince yourself the rattle can is close enough.....it won’t be.

My two cents anyway.

I've assembled donor components including parts from a 62 300 Newport and it appears that the color (champagne) is different than what I pulled from the 300H (bronze). I've attached a picture.
