Re: {Chrysler 300} Fouled Carb, Chapter 2

Ron K -

Were there any traces of foreign substances in the glass bowl fuel filter attached to the carbs ?

Hello, Everyone:

I disassembled the carb after letting it sit for a day to help dry it out. Upon disassembly I found what you see in the photo. The fuel filter appeared to be clean from the outside looking but will remove it and cut it open to see what's inside. I pushed a wooden slat into the tank through the filler and found a gel-like substance on the tip. The next step is to drain and remove the tank.

Did anyone else have a similar experience? Any tips?

The carb is a 3614S.
