So, can one take the entire window lift assembly out as on unit? By that I mean take the clips out of the arms from the glass frame and then take the whole thing out?

Once tried to pull a motor out and the spring unwound. Nearly took a finger off. Be very careful!

Since we are going to reskin the door to fix it, I will need to strip it. I sort of remember something about the spring and one’s fingers.
