RE: {Chrysler 300} 1964 Chrysler front bumper

That looks close. The top looks a little different. I will get a photo and measurement later today and post it.  James

James,

Is this what you need?

Hi Mel, No. What I need is the bracket that is spot welded by the factory to the outer end of the front bumper. It is about 6 inches long and perpendicular to the length of the bumper. I suspect that something hit the bumper and pushed this back against the spring steel bracket that you are referring to.

I could try and drill out the three remaining spot welds and straighten the bracket and then weld it back but if I can fine a good one…that would be easier.

I am out of town and when I get back I will post a photo.

Anyone have a VERY bad front bumper that the front passenger side bracket, the one on the bumper not the spring steel one, in good shape? If so, I would like to pay you if you can cut it away from the bumper and ship it to me.

I have one that is bent, and I used by jaws to pry it out and on the last push the lower three spot welds popped. I could heat and pound it to shape but drilling the top three spot welds and then rewelding a good bracket, on the backside with heat cream on the front side, is less time and would have a better outcome.

Thanks, James
