{Chrysler 300} New member

Hello all. 
I’m pretty naive to listservers
Hope this is how I am to communicate with club members. 

If so, I have a question about a grill on a 1957 300 C. 
It is red. 
Anybody know the significance? Is it just a reproduction a previous owner chose to use? 

Thanks for any info and if I’m doing this wrong, please correct me!
