RE: {Chrysler 300} Brake fluid



If you currently have DOT 3 and there are no problems (leaks, etc), then leave everything ‘as is’. Don’t tempt fate by changing over just because some newsletter told you to do so.

I just saw this article (see below) in the latest Rock Auto newsletter.  And not wanting to do something that would cause break, I mean brake failure, would I be safe to say if I replaced (complete flush) Dot 3 with Dot 5.1 in my G, I would not be compromising safety?
