Re: {Chrysler 300} 1965 Chrysler 300 L Manual 4 Speed - For Sale

i so agree on this .
Even worse to me is no 2 dr trucks ,(!!!)  drives me to Ford . I will never buy a 4 dr truck . Ever
Why anyone wants these big pig 4 door trucks defies logic . All they need are bull antlers on front . And a clown suit to wear while driving it  , along with “King Ranch” or Big Horn decals a foot high .
Maybe big selllers out west , around here you have to park .
Then 3 feet off ground , you need to add steps

Peak of trucks was mid 70 ‘s dodge , 440 warlock 4 wd step side ( i have one!)
Or 318 or slant 6 custom D  100 step-side day to day

Similar every mopar now has front wheel axle disconnect. . You get stuck can’t move you get message  “ 4 wd temporarily unavailable “ on suv .

. i kept a brand new 2018  cherokee  less than 6 months got stuck twice in sand , 2 foot wide B pillar placed so  you cannot see out to your left . that view is kinda important ? . Designed by morons .
compare that to 02 jeep grand cherokee ,which now has a huge following (14 grand used , low mile 20 years old)  quadratrsck was best 4 wd ever ,no electric anything , never stuck in25 years with those in sand every summer weekend . So still driving one in 2023  You can see out 360 and not high off ground 20 mpg  4 wd comes and goes as needed smoothly adds in by its hydraulic self . 4.0 lasts 350 k unlike junk V6 they replaced it with that eats  valve train at 100 k
If they just reproduced that 01-03 jeep exactly they would  kill the suv market . Instead a 100k 25 foot long grand grand cherokee ? looks like a school bus
someone needs to take away the mushroom pile in detroit .
Korea will win , Telluride a copy of 02 jeep , they might note how it sells . Like crazy .
Koreans must look at what is successful , not “cheaper to have one line of product all 4 dr “

Still disappointing that there was no 426 Hemi powered 300M in 1966, instead a 4 door, front wheel drive K-car variant 6 cylinder with less than 300hp got the 'M' designation in 1999.  It should have been a non-letter 300 Sport, at best.  In spite of the success of the reborn 300 for this century, being a 4-door sedan with no 2-door or convertible variants offered was another disappointment.  Imagine a 2005+ Chrysler 300'N' SRT-8 with only 2 doors and optional top that went down!  I'd have a 19 year old one in my garage today if they had done it.  Many fans of the original Dodge Charger have misgivings about the 'extra' doors that showed up on their revived Chargers as well.  How about a Challenger convertible while I'm asking for the moon?  Lucky for Stellantis, I'm not in charge, otherwise the push for an electric vehicle offering would be a version of the original Turbine Car with electrical underpinnings.  How cool would that be?  It would even make sense since a lot of electricity is created using turbine technology.
Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see how the new 6 cylinder turns out.  Maybe they'll bring back the Valiant/Duster/Volare names and build the new 6 so it looks like a slant 6 Hyper Pak? ;-)

I’m not sure if any of you guys or gals in the Pacific Northwest have come across this one or not……..or if it’s known to the club (Tag is shown in ad. )

I found this in the Seattle area not far from me in Vancouver, Canada but I’m unfortunately not in the market for another ’65 300.

Looks okay in the pics…..
