{Chrysler 300} Re: 62H Astrodome

hi Carlton
The factory ground  wire   is under screws that only go into plastic ,holding the sheet metal gauge support That is NG , but put it in  anyway
What I do  is solder a wire to the gauge support sheet metal before assembly ( need 250 weller  gun or larger iron)  It is tern plated solders easily if cleaned/ scraped
- leave a  few feet for  now then later  put eye on end ground to dash lip with screw or under a screw already there
Aggravating problem , screws in plastic are often stripped you lose ground .
Not just lights but even worse ground is also for gauge Voltage regulator . No ground can burn out all your gauges  as it does  not regulate the 12 to 5 average volts ( pulsing) without a ground
best regards
John

Hi John,

Can you send me your email with the details where you recommend an additional ground wire for the astrodome system on the 62H.

My dash is still on the bench awaiting testing to assure everything is OK before installation in my car.

Thank you,

Carlton
