Sometimes companies rest on their laurels, and newer companies come to the forefront with new/better solutions. It's probably been 15 years since I've purchased shocks for either of my antiques. Just put Monroe struts on my 2015 Ford Flex. KYB wasn't even a listed option on Rock Auto when I looked. The KYB's on my G convertible and Hurst seem to be holding up quite well.
