I'm in the process of fixing up my vent wing window on my '62 D100 truck. I used Eastwood Rust Encapsulator as a base coat on the vent window frame channel and vertical post and now need to finish coat it . I went to the store yesterday and see that Dupli Color sells both an acrylic enamel and an acrylic lacquer in gloss black aerosol cans.

I've never messed with paints and such and am clueless what the difference is. Eastwood says that either will work on top of the Rust Encapsulate. What are the pro's & cons of each type of paint? What would hold up better to weather and retain it's gloss, etc. The channel around the window isn't a large area to paint, but I certainly don't want to be taking the whole assembly apart again in a few years because the paint faded or didn't hold up, etc.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,
