I always apply a thin coat of permatex aviation form-a-gasket to both sides of the gasket. It hasn't failed me yet...
And remember to never over-torque! ; )

I've got a new fel pro steel core oil pan gasket for my max wedge motor. Should I install dry or put something on it. What is the best practice for a leak free job?
