Re: rear end shift

The centering pit in the springs, which locates in the holes in the spring perches will affect longitudinal location, ie. front to rear. That 'pin' is actually the centre bolt which holds the springs together.

For sideways mis-location, look for major wear in shackle rubbers etc. Or, if the car's been altered in some way, incorrect location of the spring perches (ie. different locations on the axle from one side to the other).

Or was it simply that you had one side jacked up and the other wasn't? That can close gaps on you.

1965 B-body to B-body I'd assume the mechanicals specs were the same, with the same part number, though I don't have a
parts book handy to confirm the rear end part number being identical in this case.

Thanks,

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
