Re: Hemmings Daily: How Herb McCandless built a career out of drag racing hot Hemi Mopars

As a note to Herb McCandless, about 2008 I knew a guy here in town with a 1974 Cuda with a 360,Petty blue, automatic, running and driving, a nice decent car. He said the heads had been done by Herb McCandless.
I almost bought the car for 5000 dollars, but I balked because it was a 360 and not a 340. He must have needed money at the time, because when I changed my mind 6 months later it wasnt for sale anymore.

Thanks for posting the link!

That's a classic photo of "Mr. 4 Speed" and his '65 Plymouth too.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
