I'm going to throw my 2c in:
1. no
2. IIRC the only factory aux cooler was used on some of the later Hemi cars or was that an oil cooler. Can't remember
3. yes, plumb the line from the pump to the radiator coolor then to the aux cooler then back to the transmission. IIRC the line closest to the front of the trans is the one u want to leave in the stock position to the radiator.

got several trans cooler questions;
   fixing my radiator problems today  so i thought now might be a good
   time to install my new trans cooler'
  1- doesnt putting a trans cooler on the front of a radiator kind of
  starve the radiator of air.?
   2- at what point is the factory one in the radiator no longer enuf
   and u need to step up?
    3- would it be best to plumb it inline with the factory one also
    and have two in effect?
     4-  do i think too much?
