i got 22 mpg on a trip with my 64 chrysler town and country with a 361 2v. 
all the way up I-5 to Sacramento from los angeles (san fernando valley)  yes 
i kept it at 65
my 64 valiant vert with 273 gets an average of 17-18 mpg.  haven't taken it 
on any long road trips to see what highway mileage might be.
