Hi,

SInce it is aluminum, go to a shop that repairs outboard motors.  They 
often weld on new aluminum to repair the bottom fin of an outboard and 
will be able to add the appropriate bead on the valve cover for you.  

Likely they will be tickled to work on something other than an outboard.
