I believe the 68 and earlier 318/273 steel cranks did not have the
centers of the throws drilled like a 340 does. It isn't a problem ifyou
are getting the engine balanced.The ftory drilled the throws to allow
for the difference in rod weight. The machinists among us can verfify or
clear up what I'm saying.
