There has been controversy over the use of the late B, F, L, M body knuckles on earlier B's and A's as they are slightly taller and have a slight different angle where the upper ball joint stud attaches, thus slightly altering the geometry and also possibly causing binding at full travel which could pull the ball joint apart. In the Mopar Action series of articles by Erhenberg, he is adamant that it would be unsafe to use the late knuckles. However, Mopar Muscle magazine about 2 issues ago did a comparison of this knuckle with the widely used late A knuckle, installing both in a suspension and testing for travel, geometry, etc. They reported that it should be OK to use and the alignment can be brought within tolerances, so I think I may use some on the later knuckles I have stashed around on the next couple of conversions I do.
