I always make sure up front that shipping costs are known. Read the fine print. Some do overcharge for stuff. Donesn't matter if you are using ebay or classifieds. Make sure you know what shipping will be. I do charge what ever materials cost for shipping. For bigger stuff that is. I do not do much on ebay. I did get involved in one with a new drill I ordered from ebay. It stated how much the item would be to ship. Fine since I needed it and the bid was cheap enough. Cost more for the shipping that the drill. That was fine but the 18 volt drill does not preform that way it should. Should have know better. Listed for $139.99 (buy it now) I got it for $10.50. I put in a low bid and got it. Could not very well back out. Now I have to send it back. Seller says I will get a ful refund. Still I will have to pay the cost of sending it back. Will see what happens. If a get my money back or not. The seller has a good rating. Kind of a scam tho. I mean $10.50 for an 18 Volt drill. What is a person to do. Never thought I would win the thing. Wish I had not. But I will take my medicine and learn I guess. No more off brand stuff.

i know , the feedback forum is stupid, well 99% of the time its OK, but
I actually have negative feedbacks on my record, none of which I really
deserve.
One was because i gave a guy a negative himself for the rip-ooff
24.00 shipping he charged me, so he gave me a negative.
see thats what happens, i think the other guy just waits and waits
until u give him a positive then he feels free to give u a negative.
  I didnt know this.
so if u are gonna give a negative to somebody make sure they have
already rated u first or they will just retaliate.
Another guy sent me a welder wrapped in paper, beat to hell when it
got here, I gave him a negative for his lousy packing and he just
blamed it on the freight company.
Theres a lot of creeps out there.
