Interesting about the spring....when that happens, do you hear the "click" as
when a solenoid's bad? When it wouldn't turn over at all, I heard no click.
I could hear the trunk-mounted Holley fuel pump working at normal speed, and
the guages on dash activated.

I've probably only made 4 cold starts since bringing car home from shop last
Friday, and except for the no response at all event yesterday, on all previous
cold starts it turns over a split second, halts completely for a split second
while still holding key in start position, then turns over and fires up.
Start easily on all warm starts thereafter.

Just went out and tried the first start of the day, the darn thing started up
immediately with none of the hesitation stuff!

Thanks for your help.
