Yes, battery in trunk, with master disconnect switch per NHRA requirement.
Interesting, these intermittent problems. If it was just cold starts, I'd
guess just not enough current getting to starter, but the second time motor was
fully warm, should have been very little work for the starter to rotate the
thing. 11.2 cr isn't enough to be a challenge in a 495 cid for the hi-torque
truck starter.
If it was a bad connection causing high resistance to current flow, I'd think
it would have given me trouble on all cold starts.....
