Last spring I picked up a 64 Dodge 330 4 door sedan (slant six and 3
on the tree manual) I paid next to nothing for it, I think 200 bucks.
I have never really looked it over, drove it for a day and parked it.
So yesterday I decided to take a good look at it and removed
all the extra parts it came with in the trunk, pulled the
seats in it, ripped out the scary headliner and went to
a-scraping with a putty knife, looking for rust damage.
Well u guessed it, I found out its just not that bad , far better
shape than I thought, glass is all good , everythings there, motor
still runs and the car drives.
Why does that always happen to me- the parts cars are always the ones
that run and drive and are in better shape? LOL . Must have something
to do with Grandma keeping it under the carport. LOL
seems a shame to crush it .
So my idea is to actually turn it in to yet another car, a two door
post car. i have all the metal I need here to do it and even a
covered space for working on it.
Thanks to Wally Breer who convinced me to NOT (!!) cut the roof off
it and try welding that to a two door, he told me it would so much
easier to do the reverse and convert the 4 door to a two door.
Pretty cool a 1964 Dodge 330 two door sedan, geez just when i
thougth my life was getting simpler along comes another brainstorm.
