You can save a lot of weight by going to a Weiand Hi Rise, P/N 7503 and use 
a Holley R-1850-1 AAS.  It is a 600cfm carb, but your 318 can handle it. 
The current Summit catalog lists both.

I'm ''doing'' my 318 poly and want some input.
changing the stock 2 bbl. to a stock 4 bbl.
or as the old timers tell me to go to a  500  cfm. Holley

it' kinda hard to find a genuine 4 bbl . manifold.
any responce would be great.
