Sorry, Guys. But this is America. It's capitalism. It ain't perfect, but it's
better than any other plan around.
Granny isn't "crazy for getting $1000 for an old crappy 4dr; she's stupid if
she passes it up if she can get it. And just cause she asks for $1000 doesn't
mean she'll get it. The market determines that.
Available used parts will get more and more scarce, until there just aren't
any at all. And prices will go up and up. Has it ever been any other way,
during your lifetime? Why expect anything else. We are American men. We learn to
deal with adversity. If this hobby were easy, everyone would do it. It's the
difficulty that makes it great! That's why we get the "thumbs up" on the highway
from passersby.
The guy who owns a wrecking yard with old Mopars in it has limited choices.
He has to show a profit or he has to close his doors. Pay him what he needs and
it will be worthwhile for him to hang on to and part out the Mopars; refuse
to pay him what he needs and he will either crush them and make room for
something that has profit in it or he will hang on to them so long that they will
cut his profitability and his business will go under. And if he (or the people
on Ebay, or the guys reproducing parts) are greedy and overprice their parts so
they never sell, then they are the losers again. And in any of the above, you
lose; you don't get the parts.
I don't mind your complaining about it. I don't like paying more either. I
look for bargains anywhere I can find them.
But let's not lie to ourselves and say that because available parts are high
priced, or because we'll never get to buy the car we had way back when, then
somebody out there is a dirty scum bag.
The older I get the more convinced I am that God allowed man to invent the
automobile to teach him patience on multiple levels. Let's not miss the valuable
lesson.
If I can't afford a Max Wedge (and I can't), then let me find my joy in the
cool Valiant slant 6 within my reach. Heck, have I forgotten that Thanksgiving
was only over last week?
Come on people now.........smile on your brother.....everybody get together,
try to love one another right now.

Sorry. I'd better end my sermon now because my tongue is now poking all the
way through my cheek!
You guys are the best and I need you and appreciate your help. May God bless
you all and may He help us all to find what we truly need.
Paul
(For the flaming I am about to receive, may God make me truly thankful.)
