RE: 1965 Belvedere !!

Thanks Verna. I've read many times over the years that there were about
3,500 of the Sport Furys made the same as mine is configured, but have never
been able to source the information. Could just be street lore...one person
says it and it's written in stone within a few years. /Butch

Butch, The books don't break down the options as far as production goes.
They just state that there were 23,695 2 dr hardtops and 3,,858 convertibles
produced. The hardtops cost $2864 and the convertibles cost $3095. Count
yourself lucky because we couldn't even get a Sport Fury in Canada, only a
Fury.

I'm going to jump on this one. Verna, can you tell me how many 64 Plymouth
Sport Furys were made with the 383, torqueflite floor shift, 2dr-hdtp? I've
seen on some car shows where they've claimed that a car was only one of 10
or one 20 produced. How detailed can a person get in determining how many of
a particular car were made? Thank you. New to a lot of this, so hope you
don't mind the questions. /Butch

I've just looked in the 65 Chrysler parts manual, the Chrysler Chronicle,
and The Plymouth Desoto history book and they all say that there were 65
Belvedere I's in 2dr sedan but no Belvedere II's. They made around 12,000
belvedere I's.

Does anyone know if Plymouth ever offered a Belvedere II in a two door
sedan?

   Thanks
