I don't know about everybody else Neal, but I like hearing the
find/purchase stories about cars, especially prices. Most people omit
the price they paid, but I enjoy hearing the whole story... especially
yours, since you seem to have a new one every couple weeks! I got a good
deal on an off-brand last week, but we won't go into that...ha ha.

well that has to be the fastest a project has pulled out of a nosedive,
if u read my other post , "sad day for my wagon", u will know what i
speak of, BUT,.... tonite about 6pm I was whining to my local mopar
buddy Aaron about the hopeless wagon, and he says, " , y'know, I know
where one of those is, its sitting in this guys carport ".
I say, "well lets go pester him."
so we drive out there, the guys really obviously a FORD man, and I
tell him my woes and ask if he might be intersted in selling the
wagon. We get out his halogen light and get in there AND the thing is
nice! and solid in all the right places. he says it has a BLOWN
HEAD GASKET AND the 361 DOESNT RUN, that doesnt matter because my
other wagon came with a good running 383 setup.
So I wait with baited breath, expecting to hear the dreaded" oh yeah,
those things are really rare, i would have to get 2500 bucks for
   it.!!"
He says- "God I'd love to get that thing out of here, u tow it away
and u can have it for 300 bucks!! WHAT!!!! did he say 300
bucks.?? A 1964 big block Mopar 9 passenger , AC station
wagon???And it has a valid title too!!
and its all there, except for the taillights and a set of mags on
it he wants to keep. I said -"no problem, heres your dough and I
will see u in the morning with a wrecker."
Pretty nice guy for a FERD man too>LOL.
sorry for the lenghty story but I am giddy as a school girl right now and about ready to pee my pants, so the dream of a wagon marches on,
  must be meant to be.
