Tom, you're killing me!
Really, this is another amazing thing about getting into MoPars after
spending my whole automotive life with GM's. The kickdown linkage, the goofy
incinerating alternator gauge, the crazy way my air cleaner attaches to my
2bbl carb, and the ball and trunnion u-joint. It's really a whole new world
for me, and I ought to just sit down with my service manual and read it
front to back.

Jim-
That is your hemi max-wedge helical enhancer.
If your Mopar is equipped with a hemi or max wedge engine, it will make use
of that device.
Other than that, it's just for bragging and showing off (hood closed).
Don't let it rust up! :P

Just wondering, what's the thing around the outside of the brake drum on my
'64 Valiant? It looks like brake line armor, or some big spring. Is it for
cooling? Doesn't seem to hold anything on, but I have not inspected it
closely yet.
