I installed one on my old 63 post car several years ago, I  don't beleive 
that there is much difference in them, I ended up moving it to the  frame rail 
where there was a direct shot to the drain pan with out the k-member  inbetween, 
this also allowed me to use a larger filter over the short  one,,,,,,,,,,it 
was just a rubber hose one with hose clamps,,,,,,,,,,,,,,seemed  to do the job
