Re: Fwd: Vent WIndow Interchange

The 1965 Coronet did not have a 4-door hardtop, only the Polara, Custom 880
and Monaco did.

According the 1965 parts book, all 1965 C body cars (Fury, Polara, Custom
880, Monaco and Chrysler) shared the same front vent window parts for all
models. But the Coronet was a B body car, and shared its parts with the
Belvedere.

The glass was shared with all B body models, but for the other parts -
Weatherstripo, door venrt wing -
all but convertible & hardtop : 2218450-1
convertible and hardtop - 2218452-3

division channel with strip retainer -
all but convertible & hardtop - 2571 560-1
(not used on convertible & hardtop)

division channel and frame, vent wing -
convertible - 2491 888-9
hardtop - 2218 484-5
(not used on non convertible & hardtop models)

reatainer, vent wing with strip
convertible and hardtop - 2218 512-3
(not used on non convertible & hardtop models)

The lower pieces that attach to the glass (inner and outer plates, brackets,
handles, etc.) are the same for all.

The reason for the differences is the forward edge of the retainer and
divsion channel. The unit is one piece with hartop and convertible models
having an extra 'arm' at the lower forward edge of the frame that bolted to
the door. The sedans and wagons did not have this extra bit as the unit
could be screwed to the upper door frame.
