RE: Side Mirror



One cure I seem to recall was, once the mirror is off, put a thin piece 
of aluminum (beer / soda  can thickness?) between the pivot and where it 
rides. The extra thickness from the aluminum provides enough traction 
for the mirror to stay stationary in place while you drive the car, but 
move when you mess with it by hand to adjust viewing location.

How's that sound?  Ring a memory?
