another radiator hose question

I found a molded hose to fit the lower side of my 64 Plymouth 361.
However after I installed it, I realized that it did not have the
spring inside. The FSM says that the spring is necessary to prevent
the hose from sucking shut at high speeds/rpms. Anyone on the list
have any experience with this? Am I going to have problems with this,
or should I find another hose with the spring?
