What i dont understand about mine is she has a Drag trophy of her own in the back room beside her bowling trophys. She was murder on the competition with her done /6 Cuda. Her (our) nephew who dorve the Old reliable car and owned it with me at the beginning was an excellant driver and yet one nght in town at a street light the two of them got fooling around jacking up on the converter stall and she laid a light on him he will never forget. All he could say was "AUNT LINDA!!!!!!" Now she has no interest in going to the track and would prefer I never took the 63 there either. I have no idea why. When I started the SR Dragster project I told her to take a good look. This is a race car and is going to be raced . All she said was "I know."
I respect her wishes. We have worked hard at not bugging each other. After 37 years I wouldnt want to ruin that. Still , ah never mind.
Actually our local track has a very loose policy on booze. Doesnt affect me because i am a nondrinker but I can see the point. It isnt much fun being there at night with a bunch of half wonked goons whose language skills deteriorate with each drink.
I gues when i think back on all the cars i have had and look at the picture of her stompin on my V10 Ram at Bonneville maybe i bettter just suck it up and enjoy what i have.
