RE: Overcome by Moparitis

You guys are going about this the wrong way...I usually have a car or
bike for sale in my front yard that I use the proceeds from to fund my
Mopar habit, and I usually give some of the profits to my wife. That
way, she not only has her own play money, she can never claim that I'm
taking money from our household money. The trick is to find a new car to
flip that there's enough money left in to give the wife some cash, buy
some parts for the Polara, and still leave enough to find the next
money-maker. You have to be selective about a car and decide if it's
worth the time/money you will have to put into it. I generally try to
double my money on a vehicle, but it doesn't always work that way. For
instance, a year ago I bought a 77 Caprice for $800, put $200 into it,
and sold it to the neighbor for $2000. He went off to college and I
bought it back for $800 again, spent $100 on it and sold it again for
$1800. Ya gotta love those deals!
