You are right. I can't believe I hadn't seen that before. Very cool...

You do not have to drill the crank for the bushing with a four speed.
There is a roller bearing available (from NAPA or Mopar?) that fits in the
area that the nose of the converter goes into. I got mine years ago so I'm
not sure where they came from. I'll bet Wayne Brewer has them.
As far as Wayne Brewer, I've heard nothing but good things about him as a
businessman and a person.

Alex,
I've converted many Mopars to 4-speed and vice-versa. Brewer's has been
around and are reputable supplier, i've used them many times. In fact I
think Wayne's prices are lower than many newcomers to the game. Not sure
what kind of power you are running but if all you are needing is an
18-spline box, the price should be manageable. Wayne is also a big fan
of / very familiar with the early cars.
As for the job itself - if you are adventurous enough to have the car on
a rotisserie, you are easily capable of the conversion. Repop metal
shifter doghouses for the 62-5 cars have been available for a few years
now and is the only cutting and welding you'll need to to. Otherwise
it's just swapping parts and with a factory manual (or even without) it
is very straightforward.
The only sticking point will be if the crankshaft is drilled to accept a
pilot bushing or not - if you are lucky, it will be. If not, there are a
few options but none of them are without their rubs.... I've heard of
folks hand-drilling the crank but alignment is critical for the bushing
or it will make "squawking" noises and put undue stress on the
transmission. The only sure way to get it right is to yank the crank and
bring to the machine shop. Not expensive but awfully time consuming...
Hope this helps.

Has anyone converted their 62 dodge auto to a 4 speed with products from
Brewers performance. They say they have the complete units for the
conversion. I was wondering how hard of a project this is. I currently
have the body on a rotesseary and doing the body work on the polara. Has
anyone done one of these conversions before and how tuff is it. Just
don't want to get in over my head. Thanks, Alex in Ohio
