Re: 4-6-7-fan blade

With a stock therm stat and water pump I also run at 200 in hot times when stop n go traffic. It's a 383 and it runs at 185 about normally. Rebuilt big radiator w 16lb cap. Does running at 200 cause early wear? Would an oil cooler help? Do the flow cooler pumps w the impellers work in stop n go traffic or at just at high speeds?

my car tends to heat up in traffic because of the trans/torque
converter loading up against the brake
while stopped. putting it in neutral helps. but a trans cooler before
the radiator, I think would be the best
thing to do, to stay cool in that slow stop'n wait, then go a little
type traffic. that's my take on it anyway
cuz soon as I start moving again it starts to cool down.
