Re: 4-6-7-fan blade

my car tends to heat up in traffic because of the trans/torque converter loading up against the brake while stopped. putting it in neutral helps. but a trans cooler before the radiator, I think would be the best thing to do, to stay cool in that slow stop'n wait, then go a little type traffic. that's my take on it anyway
cuz soon as I start moving again it starts to cool down.

hi all
is there a set rule on how many fan blades should be used 4 blade 6 blade or 7 blade .
also 160 or 180 or no thermostat.
also how far away should the fan be from the radiator when using a fan shroud. im thinking about using a 7 blade fan with a fan shroud with a 160 thermostat using a 3 core radiator.
or is it (what ever it takes to keep from running hot.
im putting together a 440 bored .030 over with a max wedge top end.
i know city driving can be the worse for getting hot.
what is the ideal temp. for motors.
thanks jack

I really like the looks of the Crager S/S wheels, I have
215/70R15 on
the front and 255/60R15 on the rear.

The wheels I have are dual pattern that have a slot not a round
hole for
the studs. There is a washer with an offset hole that
allows for the
dual pattern. The lug nut does not seat on the rim like a
standard
lugnut. The wheel is kept centered by the design of the lugnut.

The wheels work well and have been used for many years. I
have them on
my old 49 Dodge truck. I just don't like working on the
floor much
anymore and it takes more work to remove and install the rims.

Are there problems with Crager's? My wife bought me 15x7
Crager
Smoothies for Xmas, but I haven't purchased the tires yet...
I'm in for
a world of hurt?

I was gonna suggest JEGS, but they have a lot of Cragers, some
of there
own brand, plus a few others like Billetand Weld

I am looking for attractive but not too expensive custom

If anyone has suggestions it would be appreciated. I
like the Mag or
chrome look, my car is red, I think they go well
together. Per my
wife's frequest I am trying to keep the cost down. I am
starting to look

through Summit and a couple of other catalogs I have for ideas.
