Re: Oil Pan Question

i had a 187 pan on my 65 belv conv and it hit the k frame and the steering linkage rubbed too. i just finished making a new pan, cut off the sump from the 187 pan and made a new sump from sheet metal. i used the dimensions from the web site. i got the metal for free, about 8 hours to fab and weld.

I don't know if the "AB" on the end of the part number means anything,
but Summit lists it as ready to go right now. Mancini lists it as well,
but they don't regularly update their website for stock counts, so a
phone call would be in order.

The last word I got from folks here on the mail list I put on the oil
pans page: "NOTE: As of August 2008 that part Mopar Performance oil pan
number was discontinued by Chrysler."

That is, # 5007807.

Is it reintroduced or superceeded by a new part number?
