Headliner Install

I now have some time to take my '64 Dodge Polara 500 to get the new headliner and insulation installed, but the upholstry shops I have contacted keep asking me if they will have to remove the front windshield and rear glass to install it. I was under the impression that the thick chrome strips with numerous screws around the interior roof line and headliner could be removed to remove the headliner and replace without removing any glass. Am I right? Thanks.
Mike
