As long as I have had my Newport, there has been this little block of 
wood stuck in between the engine block and the power steering pump..

I have no idea what it's for.. but don't want to remove it, until I know 
what purpose it is serving (it doesn't seem to hurt anything)

The cool temps have made me think of winter projects, one is to find the 
leak in the PS pump.. before doing anything I want to figure out how I'm 
gonna screw this up ;)
