Re: new windshields

My learning curve info regarding glass.
Had the passenger side door glass very scratched. (ran with no whiskers) Could not find a double strength so had a piece cut. Took it to my glassman for installation. He said it would break probably the second or third time u closed the door. He said that 2 door hardtop has to be double strength. There is no support for the glass. I have a tinted door glass for a 65 Satellite I would give someone. Ollie's follies !!

I went to a glass shop here in Akron, Ohio and asked. Had to wait for it to come in but they are available. This was for our '65 B-Body's.

I did find a vendor at a Street Rod show that sells all the side glass, also. I can look that up and pass it on if anyone is interested.

None of this has the original etching on it but I think it was available if you really want to get it right.

Came across a vendor on Ebay, Bob Classic Auto Glass, selling new glass
including windshields for our cars. I remember how much trouble I had
finding mine and this guy's price is about what I paid. I have no
connection with this vendor but his feedback was 100% positive.
