Parts Store Personal #*#@!

Petty Stock Car Update..
Thought we would be cruising "the shoe" (local Redneck name for our road) today adjusting brakes.
Went to O'Reilly and got my new wheel cylinder, came home and the dingdongs gave me the left side.
Attempting to remain clam I called them ...Results? Arrives Tuesday. ??
I will say this...relating to the brake discussion going on.
Stock drum parts for our 62-65's are getting harder to find. C Bodies are the hardest. I see this from overhauling MS Cruiser and then a few years later, the Petty Car.
Today under warranty my wheel cylinder prices:
Purchased Jan 09 List $ 21.17 Paid Net $12.89
Replacement valve Dec 09 List $45.75 No net listed
Also different mfgr..I bought Wagner......now Brake Best .. probably the same machine making them?? In Jan 09 OReilly was the only one with the front cylinders and the rear came from NAPA. Neither had both. NAPA was the only store with shoes.
Wonder about today a year later?
Enough rambling. Just added pics of the hood installed. Check out the right side close up and u can see the hood is high. I am pretty happy considering I saved the hood. Remember this is my rat rod Petty Stock Car. Be the only one at any car show!! Ollie and Teresa, them Mopar Crazies, are having fun with a bunch of fellow car nuts.
