Red Neck Power Tour 2010

Hello everybody,
Just got home from a week on the road. Gear head heaven. Left here Sunday May 18 on the second annual Red Neck Power Tour. Went in our new car, a 66 AMC, American convertible. Hopefully we can go in a different vehicle each year. Last year was the 65 Satellite, and next year it will be the Petty Race Car.
I thought that last year was a blast but I think our Leader, Fuzzee has out done himself this year. We more than doubled in size over last year. We started in Meridian, MS and ended up in Hammond,LA for the Redneck/Coonass Nationals Car Show.
Stops included rod shops, engine shops and museums. They we just awesome. I was most impressed by Ronnie Sandifers Hot Rod shop. He builds 41 Willy's to order from ground up. Frames, bodies, interiors, stereo's, etc, you supply your power plant. Take about $130g with you when ordering. Everything he has ever built has been featured in some magazine.
Vanderley's Engine Shop; awesome. One of his engines held the Bonneville carberated record for 24 hours.
Went to the New Orleans area Budweiser distributor's private museum, all early Fords but totally cool.
We did not stay for the car show. Had to get home, change out cars and head to Mobile, AL for Mopars at the Battleship. Will get that posted soon.
Hope you guys enjoy the off topic ramblings.
