Re: I need to raise the front end of a Dodge 330

Hay Brian,
I am of the "nose in the air" generation. and love it that way. Altho it probably hurts the curve handleing---but I am more of a straight line guy. . It is very easy to adjust your height. Under the lower control arm, there is a long threaded bolt with a hex head facing downward. The nose of that bolt presses against a levr that is attched to the front end of the torsion bar. Jack up the front end till tires are off the ground. use a temporary lube like WD 40 on the long bolt threads ( that is your adjusting bolt) Turn the bolt in ( clockwise) to increase ride height. do this to both sides. When you do this , you will mess up your front end alighnment. . You CAN raise the front end so high that ithe alighnment can;t be set correctly. Probably would be a good idea to write down the number of turns on each adjuster so you can go back to a previous setting'

Your car looks GREAT, I really like those cheater slicks with the pie- crust.........................MO

Subject: I need to raise the front end of a Dodge 330

I put slicks on the rear of my Dodge and it looks too high in the rear.

I started looking at other cars with slicks and I noticed my front end is a lot lower than most "Super Stocks" and clones of them.

I think the guy that built the car has the torsion bars cranked way down because the car is very low.

I have not researched it yet on how to raise the front.

Any tips or tricks and do you guys think that will cure my stance?

Byron
