Re: Turn signal quit working

That tells me that you have a bad ground.

Your friend is absolutely right. BUT, I did not have to do anything. The blinker
magically started working again. One of this winter's projects is new switches
and wiring, so it just needs to hang on a little longer  :)

Butch,
A buddy of mine turned me on to a great tip - taking the front seat
out requires a little wrestling but makes working under the dash much, much
easier.

I have a hunch but will wait for your diagnostics.

Let us know how you make out!

Steve, the dash indicator light is out, shows up on right turn, not on left.
I have a tester with me, thought if I can squeeze my big body under the
dash, I can see if I'm gettng voltage out of the steering wheel harness.
That's a big IF though. This is a great event. /Butch

Butch,
Don't feel too bad - I'm on the other end of the country, living
small, driving around a GM town most of the time with my left blinker stuck
on.  Just looked at Daniel Stern's switch and am quite impressed!

Does your dash indicator light, stay lit, or is it out completely
when the switch is activated?

So here I am living large, cruising the streets of Reno with 5,000 other old
iron addicts, a fair number of them Mopar folk. I notice my left turn signal
not working. It's worked reliably in the 3 years I've owned the car. So, in
the morning I'll check the bulbs and the grounds. What's after that if that
doesn't resolve the problem?

Thanks/ Butch/ Ferndale, WA
