Re: 4 speed swap

The rear tranny mount on a 4 speed is different than the auto tranny one. Go to Brewer performance and you can see the difference..........................MO

Subject: 4 speed swap

Hey Guys,
I'm in the middle of a 4 speed swap from a 64 (ball & trunion) to a 70
a-833 from a charger. I did have to switch the bellhousing (larger
bearing retainer) and I'll need a new speedo cable or adapter. But my
big problem is the tranny mount. The new tranny mount location seems to
be about an inch and a half foward of the old one. And now no longer
lines up with the crossmember. i know there has been discussion of this
swap before. Any ideas on what mount to use and where to get it?
Thanks alot for any help!!
