RE: '62 Transmission

I have a few of them sitting around as well.  Waaaay back I took a small block out of a '63, and put a 440 in, bought a 727 from a salvage yard to put in it but could NOT make the thing work.  Everything lined up nice, but wouldn't bolt up tight.  Finally, my 20 something year old brain kicked in and figured that the torque convector was not seating to the input shaft all the way. Finally measured and found out the input shaft was larger than what I had before.  Pulled one out of a '64 Belvedere  and had no problem.  Still have that tranny, and the small block one too for that matter.  Wonder what the big block one was ?  Out of a truck maybe ?  I'd part with either one if anyone needs them.  NW Iowa.  Don't care to ship them.
