Overdrive into a 62 mopar

 Has anyone tried to put an automatic overdrive into our cars. I'm considering doing this behind my 318 but would like to keep the pushbuttons. 
  I know the button assembly can be modified but does it use 1 cable to work the trans lever with the buttons/park lever or both.
