Not to disagree with you on your statement, but you know Ma Mopar, never say never..... If I'm not mistaken, the Hemi heads where attached to a 440 block, when the 1st 426 was made and a different crank was put in it.
And you can get a new Hemi power plant, though some will disagree that the new (Gen III) is not a true Hemi, as a 440 Hemi, 6.1 with a different crank. jm2cw

<DIV class=plainMail>no way it is a 440 hemi. there was never a 440 hemi made. Gary is right, should be either a 318 or 360. to have a 440 hemi, you have to buy special heads to make your 440 a hemi, very expensive.              jeff
