Re: Dash colors

Ollie, Yes I know that some textures such as wrinkle and flatner , are additives to the paint. But I remember the rough dash finish on my Fathers 66 Plymouth B Body. I don't actually know if the flat dash paint on a 64 is textured or not.. Mine looks like it may have had a slight texture when it was new. None of the several paint people I have talked to know of an additive to get the rougher finish. My painter said he could paint it with a texture like over spray or orange peel, but could not guarantee uniformity. Anyway, that Is why I am interestreed in what Bill finds out. Thanks .................MO

Steve, I do know this much...textures and flatting agents are additives to the paint. Not spray techniques.

Steve, I bet you're right, I doubt if the scan would tell if its a texture or not. That would be great if you could e-mail me the formula info. All help is appreciated. I'll see what we come up with and post the results when its painted. Thanks, Bill
